Storyline

Shadow of the Colossus tells the journey of a young man named Wander, who willingly enters a forbidden area to rescue an unconscious girl named Mono. Riding his horse Agro, Wander encounters strange creatures named Dormin, who promise to revive Mono if he defeats sixteen giant creatures called Colossi scattered throughout the forbidden area. Without much thought, Wander sets out on his mission, armed only with an ancient sword and a bow.

During his journey, Wander battles various Colossi with different forms and fighting styles, from walking on land, flying in the air, to swimming underwater. Each battle feels like a giant puzzle, as you must find the Colossus’ weak points to defeat them one by one. However, as you defeat more Colossi, Wander’s body slowly begins to exhibit strange physical changes, indicating that something is amiss. The game conveys several meanings, including symbolism, sacrifice, love, and the risks of going against the will of nature.
